Adam Horn, LMFT

Adam Horn, LMFT

I believe that people have strengths and hopes and can draw and build on these resources when struggling, feeling stuck or lost. Helping individuals, couples and families navigate relationships and align their actions and values is rewarding, humbling and fun — and this aligns with my strengths, hopes and values!

I so enjoy the process of growth and discovery and supporting emerging professionals. New supervisees have so much to offer; the supervisory process lends itself to discovering how therapist struggles that at first may seem to be working against the therapeutic process can actually become a source for strength and insight for the clients we
serve.

Post-master’s therapists have been exposed to many theoretical orientations and approaches and are usually trying to piece this all together and put it into practice. I am committed to assisting supervisees in discovering their greatest strength as clinicians by incorporating their own life-experience knowledge and use-of-self with the theoretical orientations they prefer to use. Simply put, my greatest hope in working with new professionals to the field is that the pre-licensure and supervision process allows them to become themselves as therapists — the therapist they most want to be!
