Amanda Bordner, LCSW

All those aptitude tests in high school said I should be a social worker! Since I was little, I've always been a sensitive soul. Now, I use that gift to help my clients heal and find peace and help new professionals grow into their chosen field with confidence.

I supervise because I had such a great supervisee experience when I started out! When I was anxious, she was calm. When I was overwhelmed, she offered perspective. When I was at a loss, she offered a resource. I internalized her responses and used them in sessions with clients. I began to feel more confident and calm in my work. Now, I still look forward to my weekly supervision meetings, this time as a clinical supervisor.

My hope for you (new professionals) during this time is that you will hone your skills, clarify your social work/counseling missions, and begin long, healthy careers doing this important and vital work.
