Ava Phillips, LMFT
This career chose me. I have a way of putting hurting people at ease and instilling hope. I believe a person has everything in them to heal. It's my great pleasure to journey with them to discover their strengths and learn to use them to be functional.
I supervise because I'm committed to as many people experiencing great therapy as possible. Guiding and nurturing new clinicians is fun and compelling. I learn a lot about myself, just like raising kids is like looking in a mirror. I've seen interns (now associates in California) mistreated, and it's not cool.
I hope they will stay in the field and not allow themselves to get burned out and disillusioned. I hope they will grow into their own and give our profession a good name.
