Asha Dickerson, Ph.D., LPC, NCC
I previously worked in Child Protective Services and saw how much children and their families yearned for reunification. 85% of my cases were because of addictions issues. I wanted to work with fixing the root of the CPS cases and help parents improve, thereby helping create healthier families.
I supervise and teach because, although I love being in the classroom, I understand that even more learning is done once in the field. I believe that I have a lot of real world experience and knowledge to contribute to those seeking licensure.
I hope that new professionals will find their work as rewarding as I have and that they learn to effectively integrate their passions and knowledge in ways most helpful for their clientele.
