Jonathan Smith, Psy.D.

I began with a strong interest in understanding people's motivations and the ways they shape their lives to align with their values and goals. As I began studying psychology in undergrad, I recognized that working with people clinically would allow me to engage my curiosity while also helping people recognize and build upon their internal resources to improve their lives.

Like most clinicians, I had my fair share of bad supervisory experiences during my training. I have also had the opportunity to work with excellent supervisors. I want to contribute to the accessibility of quality supervision. As I have engaged in supervising others, I have also come to recognize how much I benefit from hearing about different cases and different ways of conceptualizing cases and determining interventions.

I hope developing clinicians build upon their internal resources while continuing to develop new resources and new ways of working with clients.
