I chose this career field because the human mind is infinitely fascinating, and I feel I am always learning something new and important from others. I believe it is a gift to bear witness to people who suffer and become well. I enjoy accompanying them on their journeys through life's struggles, challenges, and joys.

I believe it is important to impart my experiences and my struggles to future therapists. I was fortunate to have many clinical supervisors that made a significant impact on both my personal and professional lives. I would like to also be an individual that can help others blossom and be the best therapists they can be. We don't really know "how" to do therapy until we enter the profession, and I believe therapists need support and guidance to translate their theoretical knowledge to concrete skills that can help others.

I hope new professionals keep their minds and hearts open to new ideas, keep learning even after being in the profession awhile, and learn to take care of themselves so they can be healthy for their clients.
