Tavari Brown, Ph.D., LPC
With support, I believe that everyone can lead a full existence. The well-examined life can be achieved through support, guidance, and positive feedback. I choose this field because it gives us as counselors and therapists the opportunity to assist people in navigating through the landscapes of their lives.
I have always been an educator at heart. As a counselor educator and professor, I have the unique opportunity to cultivate the growth of burgeoning counselors. My goal as a clinical supervisor is to help counselors in training become confident and competent colleagues to whom I can send referrals in the future.
My hope is that new clinicians come in with a spirit of curiosity and a willingness to learn, grow, reflect, and examine their own experiences, assumptions, and biases. I believe that it is through our own increased awareness that we become better clinicians.
