Wendy Kovacs Cortes, Ph.D., LMFT

I was lucky enough be drawn to the clinical field early in my life. My early report cards noted that I "talked too much" and "cared more about what others were doing" than my own work. The systemic way of thinking of MFTs perfectly reflects my views of the world.

I supervise because it is the best way to impact the next generation of MFTs. I teach in MFT programs and love to see the growth of the use of systems work in all levels of clinicians. I am honored to be trusted to guide clinicians in their learning.

I hope that all clinicians find their niche in the clinical world and are able to
do the work that they were meant to do. Finding the population that you are passionate about not only buffers against burnout, but also impacts clients in a positive way.
