Kristine Souza, LMFT
I chose a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist due to the need for better communication. I grew up in a family that did not really communicate; due to this, I wanted to be able to learn to better communicate and relate to others. Being a Marriage and Family Therapist was just a natural fit!
I enjoy working closely with others and being able to be there for new and upcoming therapists. I remember being a new therapist, and if it wasn't for my supervisor, I don't think I would have the confidence and skills that I have now. I want to take those skills that were taught to me and pass them on to new therapists in order to enhance their therapeutic skills.
I hope that new professionals will be able to take their love of the work and their relationships with others and be able to create wonderful careers that they love.
