Mike Runcie, LMFT

Mike Runcie, LMFT

I chose a career in marriage and family therapy as a result of working as a youth minister and learning about all the
challenges that couples and families encounter. I wanted to develop the skills and have effective counseling tools to
interact with families in honorable and helpful ways.

I appreciate learning from MFT graduates as much as I enjoy walking alongside them as they utilize their training and develop as a therapist. The experience of collaborating and co-creating effective strategies and helping to develop their skills is equally refreshing and positively enriches my growth as a therapist!
3. What do you hope for new professionals? (50 words or less):
"I hope new therapists will gain confidence with their skills and training and grow in their appreciation for what clients
can teach them. My hope is that they will have a clearer sense of how to process each therapeutic opportunity and to
influence positive change in their client’s world."

WORDS I LIVE BY:
“Life is an adventure filled with challenges and opportunities – embrace life with all of its struggles and blessings.”
